Are Garena games safe for my child to play?
- We are committed to providing a positive, safe and enjoyable experience for all players of Garena games.
- As stated in our Terms of Service, players who have not reached the age of majority (child/children) are required to seek parental consent before registering to play any of our games. If you are a parent or guardian creating a gaming account on behalf of your child, you are also required to agree to the Terms of Service before registering an account.
What transactions can be made in games?
- Most of our games allow for players to earn tools for enhancing gameplay and in-game currency simply by playing the game, which can be used to purchase in-game characters and items. However, it is also possible for players to purchase in-game items using real-world currency.
What are the age requirements for my child to play Garena's games?
- Garena games age rating in the Google Play and Apple App Stores depends on the ratings system in your country. Please refer to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for more details on the specific age rating in your country.
- In any case, as stated in our Terms of Service, players who have not reached 18 years old or the relevant age of majority (“child/children”) are required to seek parental consent before registering to play the game. If you are a parent or guardian creating an account on behalf of your child, you are also required to agree to the Terms of Service before registering an account.
- In addition, if your child is below the age of majority, and you do not consent to the processing of their data, please reach out to our Data Protection Officer as provided in our Privacy Policy.
How do I keep my child’s account safe?
We recognize a need to protect the personal information of children. Keep your child’s account information safe and private. Do not give access to your child’s account to others. We encourage parents to instruct their child to never give out their real names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information without parental permission. Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your child's user ID and/or password via the in-app reporting functions, or by sending us the details to our Support Page. In addition, if your child is below the age of majority, and you do not consent to the processing of their data, please reach out to our Data Protection Officer as provided in our Privacy Policy. My child has registered for one of Garena’s games, but is not old enough to play the game. What can I do?
If you learn that your child is under the age of majority but has registered for our game without your knowledge or approval, please contact us at our Support Page with the relevant details. For more information on age restrictions, please refer to our Terms of Service. In addition, if your child is below the age of majority, and you do not consent to the processing of their data, please reach out to our Data Protection Officer as provided in our Privacy Policy. As described below, both Google and Apple also offer a range of settings that empower parents to control access to certain apps. If my child is under the age of majority but wishes to play a Garena game, can he or she register to play?
Our Terms of Service require that children seek parental consent before registering to play any of our games. In addition, we encourage parents to stay involved to understand what games their children are playing, and to educate them about how to have a safe and enjoyable experience online. We suggest that parents have regular conversations with their children about their online behaviour in general, the information that they consume online and any other issues they may have encountered online. For queries regarding unauthorized purchases, refunds, etc. please send us the details via our Support Page. My child has received inappropriate communications on one of your games. What can I do?
Users are advised to report any inappropriate behaviour via the in-app reporting functions, or by sending us the details to our Support Page. We respond to all such reports and take action where required, up to and including banning players from our game. Any accounts that we find to have been used for illegal, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, threatening or abusive purposes may also be referred to law enforcement authorities. How do I keep my Garena accounts safe?
Garena will never ask for your login information via call, SMS, email, in-game chats, or other messaging services.- Keep your password confidential and change it regularly
Do not share your login details with anyone, including Garena staff, family or friends. Your account password must be confidential.
You should set a complex password and change it regularly to keep your account secure. A strong password has the following characteristics:
Does not contain your personal name or username.
Has a minimum length of 8 characters.
Has numbers, symbols (e.g. !@#$%^&*), uppercase and lowercase letters. - Be careful of who you share information with
Phishers are constantly on the lookout for valuable personal and financial information (e.g. account passwords, credit card numbers and wallet PINs).

Don't respond to calls, emails, or other messages requesting personal login or financial information, such as your password, one-time password (OTP), credit card information and social security number. Garena will never ask for your login information via call, SMS, email, in-game chats, or other messaging services.
Don't enter critical information over unsecured networks (e.g. public wifi) or on public computers. Cybercriminals can potentially intercept these channels and obtain your information.
Don't click on suspicious links in chats or emails which may be a phishing site serving to collect personal information from unsuspecting victims. - DOs
Keep your password, wallet PIN and OTP private. When in doubt, contact Garena through our Support Page.
Only perform transactions that involve entering critical information (e.g. withdrawing your wallet balance) over a secure network (e.g. your personal mobile phone network, home wifi).
What should I do if I believe that I have been phished through one of your games?
Phishing is an attempt to gain access to your account by stealing (or tricking you into revealing) your sensitive information such as passwords and credit card information. Phishing emails / SMS / messages may have the following characteristics:
Requests personal or financial information such as your credit card number
Contains unsolicited attachments
Contains a forged link
Urges you to act quickly
Uses a generic greeting such as "Dear User"
Is unprofessional, contains spelling mistakes and bad grammar
However, not all phishing emails / SMS / messages will have these characteristics, so please take care and never share your personal or financial information via such channels. If you suspect that you have been phished, contact us at our Support Page.
